The metabolic activity of E. coli cells embedded in collagen gel microstructures in a cone-shaped well and in a cylindrical micropore was investigated using scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM), based on the oxygen consumption rate and the conversion rate from ferrocyanide to ferricyanide. The analysis of the concentration profiles for oxygen and ferrocyanide afforded the oxygen consumption rate and the ferrocyanide production rate. A comparison indicated that the ferrocyanide production rates were larger than the oxygen consumption rate, and also that the rates observed in the cylindrical micropore were larger than those observed in the cone-shaped well. The ferrocyanide production rate of a single E. coli cell was calculated to be (5.4 +/- 2.6) x 10(-19) mol s(-1), using a cylindrical micropore system.  相似文献

A novel highly sensitive method to detect the concentration of trace gas for environmental purposes is proposed. This method includes the application of frequency modulation for stabilization of laser frequency, together with optical heterodyne measurement. The shift of resonance frequency of the Fabry-Perot cavity resonator is due to the change of refractive index, accompanied by the dispersion effect due to the presence of a target gas (e.g., methane, carbon dioxide or nitrogen dioxide) inside the Fabry-Perot cavity.  相似文献

Tri-t-butyl-(β-methoxyethoxy)methoxybisdehydro[14]annulene has been prepared. Cleavage of the ether linkage to give hydroxyannulene was unsuccessful. Treatment of the methoxy analogue with iodotrimethylsilane yielded iodoketone, which gave anion of hydroxyannulene by the reaction with base. Formation of hydroxyannulene could be confirmed by NMR spectroscopy and reconversion of the anion into the methoxyannulene.  相似文献

Synthesis of a naphtho-tri-t-butyltrisdehydro[16]annulene has been described. Suppression of paratropicity of the 16-membered ring was observed. Comparison of 1H NMR spectrum of the [16]annulene with that of naphtho-tri-t-butylbisdehydro[14]annulene suggests that the trans double bond adjacent to naphthalene in the [16]annulene is twisted out of the mean molecular plane.  相似文献

High‐resolution scanning electrochemical cell microscopy (SECCM) is used to image and quantitatively analyze the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalytically active sites of 1H‐MoS2 nanosheets, MoS2, and WS2 heteronanosheets. Using a 20 nm radius nanopipette and hopping mode scanning, the resolution of SECCM was beyond the optical microscopy limit and visualized a small triangular MoS2 nanosheet with a side length of ca. 130 nm. The electrochemical cell provides local cyclic voltammograms with a nanoscale spatial resolution for visualizing HER active sites as electrochemical images. The HER activity difference of edge, terrace, and heterojunction of MoS2 and WS2 were revealed. The SECCM imaging directly visualized the relationship of HER activity and number of MoS2 nanosheet layers and unveiled the heterogeneous aging state of MoS2 nanosheets. SECCM can be used for improving local HER activities by producing sulfur vacancies using electrochemical reaction at the selected region.  相似文献

The crystal structure and physical properties of radical ion salts (EDO-TTFBr2)2FeX4 (X = Cl, Br) based on halogen-substituted organic donor and magnetic anions are investigated, including the comparison with the isomorphous compounds (EDO-TTFBr2)2GaX4 with nonmagnetic anions. The crystal structure of these four salts consists of uniformly stacked donor molecules and tetrahedral counter anions, and the Br substituents of the donor molecules are connected to halide ligands of anions with remarkably short intermolecular atomic distances. These salts show metallic behavior around room temperature and undergo a spin-density-wave transition in the low-temperature range, as confirmed with the divergence of the electron spin resonance (ESR) line width. Although close anion-anion contacts are absent in these salts, the FeCl4 salt undergoes an antiferromagnetic transition at TN = 4.2 K, and the FeBr4 salt shows successive magnetic transitions at TN = 13.5 K and TC2 = 8.5 K with a helical spin structure as a candidate for the ground state of the d-electron spins. The magnetoresistance of the FeCl4 salt shows stepwise anomalies, which are explained qualitatively using a pi-d interaction-based frustrated spin system model composed of the donor pi-electron and the anion d-electron spins. Although on the ESR spectra of the FeX4 salts signals from the pi- and d-electron spins are separately observed, the line width of the pi-electron spins broadens under the temperature where the susceptibility deviates from the Curie-Weiss behavior, showing the presence of the pi-d interaction.  相似文献

We present a method based on monolitic spin column extraction and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry as an analytical method for screening diquat (DQ), paraquat (PQ), and fenitrothion in serum and urine. This method is useful for clinical and forensic toxicological analyses. Recovery of DQ, PQ, and fenitrothion from serum and urine, spiked at concentrations between 0.1, 2.5, 20, and 45 μg/ml, ranged from 51.3% to 106.1%. Relative standard deviation percentages were between 3.3% and 14.8%. Detection and quantitation limits for serum and urine were 0.025 and 0.05 μg/ml, respectively, for DQ, 0.1 and 0.1 μg/ml, respectively, for PQ, and 0.025 and 0.05 μg/ml, respectively, for fenitrothion. Therefore, these compounds can be detected and quantified in the case of acute poisoning.  相似文献

LiMn2O4 thin-film electrodes were prepared by the sol?Cgel method combined with oxygen-plasma irradiation. Oxygen plasma with a power of 10 or 90?W was irradiated to the precursor thin film prepared from lithium acetate, manganese acetate tetrahydrate and polyvinylpyrrolidone on a Pt plate, and then it was fired at 723 or 973?K. X-ray diffraction and Raman measurements indicated that oxygen-plasma irradiation was effective to increase the crystallinity of the resulting LiMn2O4. Atomic force microscope observation showed that the particle size of LiMn2O4 in the resulting thin-film electrode was decreased and homogeneous distribution of LiMn2O4 particles was achieved. Oxidation of the electrolyte at higher potentials was suppressed and capacity retention at 328?K was dramatically improved for the LiMn2O4 thin-film electrode obtained at 973?K. The improved electrochemical stability is ascribed to the elimination of organic materials from precursor by oxygen-plasma irradiation.  相似文献
